Purpose

Recording of geophysical sensor data

The airborne unit combines a quantum magnetometer, a geophysical sensor recorder, a GNSS receiver and a magnetic deviation compensator.

Magnetic compensation

In-flight magnetic compensation

A three-component fluxgate and adaptive algorithms are used for in-flight magnetic compensation. The graphs show a flight record with roll, pitch and yaw manoeuvres: the magnetic channel before and after compensation, the three fluxgate components and the local component.
